The Epistolary Novel is a series of the novels from writer K.J. Parker, which are fiction novels that are about characters in fictitious places. It all started in 2020, when Parker began publishing short stories based on these fictional people. The company has since expanded and now consists of six books.
Before I begin, I want to say that this book is very similar to his first book, which was about a young girl named Jackie Bonacci who was a victim of sexual abuse at the hands of her stepfather. When she was ten years old, her mother murdered the stepfather in cold blood, which brought Jackie’s stepfather into her life, along with other characters.
The story behind this book is not so much about a killer as it is about the grieving mother, who was trying to find peace and solace in death. The result was a long journey of discovery where each character was learning the truth about themselves, and as they did, they became more than they knew, as their journey unfolded.
The characters were very well developed and the sad twists and turns left me gripped. Each of the characters had their own story to tell, and as they learned the truth about themselves, they would cross paths with other characters, along the way, and these new connections would become part of their journey. There were also some clues about the whole plot that I found to be very clever, which I enjoyed reading as well.
As a story, the novel was quite fast paced, which may not appeal to some readers, but I found it to be an enjoyable read. By the end of the book, I felt so excited and I could not wait to find out what happens next.
The story of the Epistolary Novel is quite realistic, which I thought was quite interesting, since a lot of books out there are fictitious. This way, each reader gets a little bit closer to the characters, and I really liked the fact that I knew the real life people who were living these lives.
Because of the combination of real events, and fictional events, I was able to truly understand the main characters, and their journey, and I thoroughly enjoyed this short story. I really loved the title, as I found it to be very fitting for a novel of this nature.
If you are interested in this type of reading, or any other similar novels, I would recommend you to buy this book from the store. You can usually find them in the bookstore section of your local book store. Otherwise, you can visit the online bookstore and browse through the many titles that they have available.
